HUNTED is the first instalment in T.A Grey’s new fantasy series The Claiming. This is General Ryon Ward and dancer Penelope Farris’s storyline-a second chance at love for two people who have ‘danced’ around one another for several years.

The focus of the storyline is the second chance relationship between Ryon and Penelope as well as the growing fear that the Tarle Kingdom is about to enter into another war. As Penelope’s claiming day approaches, more than one eligible bachelor lays claim to Penelope’s heart but General Ryon Ward is the man with whom Penelope has fallen in love.

The relationship between Ryon and Penelope is a second chance at love and Penelope’s claiming is the perfect opportunity for Ryon to claim the woman with whom he is falling in love. Their attraction to one another is tested when Penelope refuses to acknowledge her feelings for Ryon and another man makes a claim for her hand in marriage.

The secondary characters are colorful and drive a good portion of the storyline that introduces some history, backstory and potential conflict. We are introduced to family, friends, King Lyle and his court, and the Tarle’s most dangerous enemy-a species known as the Avagarian. HUNTED is a fantasy storyline where danger lurks in the forests beyond the walled kingdom of Tarle and none more dangerous than the Avagarian-the Tarle’s lay claim to a silver mine and the Avagarian’s intend to shut it down.

The world building includes a history of the Tarle at war and at peace; the people, their rites; and an upcoming war-not of their making.

Great read..

Once again, I'm left open mouthed, my head swirling with questions because of the ending. I want to know what happens next, damn it T.A.
I love the way T.A weaves the erotic sex into the story line without the plot getting lost. The sexual tension between Ryon and Pen was built up nicely and when they finally have their moment it was worth the wait. I'm going to admit that I thought there would be a lot more sex because that is what we expect from T.A. But as you read the story you realize that it was right for the plot, not to rushed and placed exactly right. I enjoyed that Pen didn't want to be dominated by Ryon, she gave as good as she got. I loved the idea of the bad guys (Avagarian) and the betrayal that leads us to the end of the book. I hope we get to leave more about them in the next book. Lysse and Patrick intrigue me and hopefully will cause a lot of trouble in the next instalment. I can't wait.

TA Grey again creates an enriched tale where she adeptly describes the emotions her characters are feeling while weaving the web of their lives. Penelope and the General are drawn to each other in more ways than one, but Penelope isn’t sure she wants a man to control her life. Penelope is a ballerina full of grace, the polar opposite of The General.The General is a very fierce leader of an army that protects the society Penelope survives in and is used to being in control. TA cultivates the connections between her characters and draws you into the plot making it difficult to stop reading once you start. There is a twist in the plot I didn’t see coming. I normally don't like novellas because they leave me hanging, but this novella does not.Great job on another awesome book!
This is a 18+ mature audience read.

Titling his book "Language Policy" is a bold move since this is a wide field, but fortunately, D. C. Johnson successfully delineates the historical trends in the field and brings the reader up to speed with a great distillation of key concepts. The book serves as a literature review of language policy, including key LP studies, and offers guidance for those interested in researching educational language policy. This book is an essential, updated tour guide of the field of language policy research.

love, and intense battles

Jay Fields has gone away for four years only to come back to an angry ex-girlfriend, rent overdue and a friend asking for favors. Now he wants to mend things over in a world that Elves, wolves, and vampires have evolved and do not act in their known primitive ways. Everyone wants to get along, as much as they can help it anyway.

Once Lost Lords, is a book about survival, love, and intense battles. Stephan Morse takes us into dark times, two thousand years from now to be exact, where Elves, wolves, vampires are living together. Jay Fields is a tracker; one of the few left that takes contract jobs from his friends to make ends meet. As you do, he gets mixed into a favor of which costs him more than he originally bargained.

“I closed both eyes and tried to wish the lock of hair away. That failed.” Jay says after he returns from a four-year absence to avoid certain confrontations.

The battles were epic and the fights very pleasantly explained. Stephan Morse’s art in literature is superb. He writes in such a manner that you can effortlessly visualize the scenes in your head. I believe this skill is something not many writers have, and I congratulate him for his talent.

The characters, plot and the overall story was intriguing, and if you are a person that likes to read science fiction stories, this book is definitely up your avenue. Each setting was explained with precision, and it was clear that the author wanted to intensify the feeling of its reader and capture their attention in every scene.

With all said, I did find the book a little slow in pace at times. For instance, Jay Fields gets out of bed to leave his house as his friend is waiting on him. From his bed to the door you would have had to read, at least five pages containing Jay’s thoughts, possible black flashes, then physical surroundings and maybe some dialogue with his friend. You could not help yourself sometimes from asking where is the Author going with this?

Having said this, do not turn away from the book as it has just enough juice to please any reader. The ending was very nicely put together. It leaves a fair amount of curiosity for wanting to know what happens next but yet content to where it leaves you.

I really liked this book

I really liked this book. the only reason I didn't give it five stars is because, like another reviewer mentioned, it is a little confusing in parts. Although I am not sure if that is intentional because of the nature of the main character or not. Regardless it didn't detract from the story and in fact kind of reminds me of first reading A Madness of Angels and having no idea what was going on at the start, so while you are confused at first more gets revealed the further into the book you go. Although I think it would have been better if it was mentioned earlier in the book that the only Supernaturals were the wolves, vamps, and elves. The book has an interesting premise and I enjoyed the story quite a bit. If you are looking for something to read, go with this book, it's an interesting ride.

With a fantasy-style world, brought into the modern era, Royal Scales was a very enjoyable read (I read the novel on the authors website). The book is well-polished and has a complex background that has me excited for what Morse does with it next. The novel is definitely not all fun and games, though, as Morse seems to prefer his main characters troubled and struggling, with just a hint of potential for greatness. If you read Morse's other novel series, Continue Online, and enjoyed it, then you'll definitely enjoy this one.

The book is a great read for the price, but if you're still hesitant just go read it on the author's wordpress page (google frustratedego) I think it's definitely worth your time

Best Book on the AK

This is an old book. It was originally published by Stackpole in 1986, but it is a classic account of the AK-47 and its development.

It's written by Edward Clinton Ezell, who was Curator of the Division of Armed Forces History at the National Museum of American History. The man knows his field and writes well.

The book is annotated, indexed, and well illustrated by black and white line drawings, photographs and tables. It includes the development of the AK-47 and the M-43 intermediate cartridge (7.62 X 39 MM) it fires. Given the impact of the AK-47 on military history (and history in general), this is a wonderfully useful book.

Ezell takes the long view of the AK-47's history and masterfully describes the creation of the Imperial arms establishment from 1812 through "the Great Patriotic War" as World War II is called in Russia. This is important because it explains the Russian's fixation on mass and ease of production. They were short of small arms in both world wars.

This is great history, especially when you realize that Ezell did his research before the Cold War ended and Russian archival sources became more available to Western scholars and writers. This is still a five star book and if you are the least bit interested in Mikhail Kalshnikov, Russia, AK firearms, or military history, you will enjoy this book.

Not your daddy's AK-47 book.

After years of seeing 'fictionalized' accounts of the AK-47, I was giddy (literally like a schoolgirl reading the final Harry Potter book) when I started thumbing through the pages of this masterpiece. I can't tell you how many times some "Duncan Long" type has talked about running over the AK with a tank, smashing it on the ground, rusting it closed, beating it with a wet noodle and it still goes off. I can tell you from personal experience, it's just a tool and they are subject to the same reliability issues as most other guns.

That said, the development of this tool is a fascinating read. Whatever your opinion, this was a prolific weapon and serves as a beacon for Communism and Terrorism the world over. It is perhaps the most easily recognizable and talked about firearm as well. This book doesn't really go into that, though. This book is a history lesson, not a hyped-up Mountain Dew commercial. The amount of info in this book makes it a good one to read through twice. That's what I did.
